Tiffany received global recognition for her efforts in finishing 17th at last years World Series Main Event - the best finish yet by a female poker player. Join us as we talk life, love, music and poker in the Tiffany Michelle interview.

Getting Into Poker

Pkr Grl

Why and how did you get into Poker?

Tiffany Michelle

I grew up playing a lot of card games with my family and I can remember sitting around with my grandfather and brothers playing Five-Card Draw. I discovered Texas Hold ’Em when I was acting and would receive invites to play in Hollywood house games. I began playing a weekly game with Zach Levi and Joel David Moore and that’s really where I discovered that I had a natural instinct for the game. I was introduced to the professional world of poker when I spent the summer in Vegas in 2006 doing the On-Air hosting for Bluff Magazine’s coverage on Sirius Satellite Radio.

Pkr Grl

If you had to choose one path at the exclusion of all others (because someone really mean had the power to command such things), would you be a poker player, musician or actor? (or something else)

Tiffany Michelle

100% I’d be an actor, it’s my first love. Poker has it’s swings and can get monotonous and incredibly frustrating not to mention you sit on your butt for hours and hours. With acting you get to become different characters, go different places and experience things that you never could in actuality. It feeds my creative side and every project brings diversity.

Quick-Fire Questions

Best band ever?

– Beatles

Song that reminds you of the first Best time you made out with a guy?

– I can’t think of a song relating to that specific situation but the first song I remember having to do with a guy is Backstreet Boys “I Want It That Way”. Oh Lord, did I just say that?!

Best female poker player alive?

-– Annie Duke

Best male poker player alive?

– Daniel Negreanu tied with Phil Hellmuth

Nicest person in pro poker?

–- Bill Edler

Biggest jerk?

– I plead the fifth.

Stranded With Poker Pros

Pkr Grl

You’ve been cast away to a desert island for the rest of your life. You are allowed to bring 2 people with you, a guy poker pro and a girl poker pro. Who would you choose and why?

Tiffany Michelle

Girl poker pro would have to be Maria Ho. I love that girl and never get tired of her company. Guy poker pro… this one is tough cuz there are so many choices… let’s go with Greg Mueller. Greg is like the social butterfly of poker. He’s friendly, enjoyable to be around and he’s a big nerd who never ceases to amuse me with his Canadian verbiage.

(Afterthought: I hope he doesn’t kick my butt for calling him a ‘nerd’ and a ‘butterfly’ ha ha. Maybe I should also add that he’s a very tough, manly, jock ;-)

Experiences from the 2008 WSOP

Pkr Grl

How does your finish in the WSOP rate compared to other personal achievements in your life?

Tiffany Michelle

At this point in time I think it has to be at the very top… for now.

Pkr Grl

What kinds of opportunities has the fame from your poker success brought you?

Tiffany Michelle

I was already involved in the Entertainment industry/Hollywood side of things before my run at the WSOP so nothing has changed too dramatically. There’s just a higher volume of invitations and opportunities whether for interviews, press, photo shoots, sporting events or celebrity fundraisers.

I’m receiving more offers to be involved in television shows and projects. I guess on a very basic level fame brings the opportunity to make more money in every avenue.

Pkr Grl

Do those opportunities outweigh the negativity that’s been associated with the footage from ESPN?

Tiffany Michelle

Honestly there have been moments with the negative media and fan backlash that I’ve wished I could disappear and have zero attention or spotlight on me. Its never fun being put down, cussed out, having your personal character attacked and accomplishments diminished.

I’ve found that reward and success is that much sweeter when you’ve had to struggle and overcome hurdles to achieve it.

However, you have no choice but to take the good with the bad. I’ve found that reward and success is that much sweeter when you’ve had to struggle and overcome hurdles to achieve it. It’s not always a pleasant experience but if life were 100% easy we’d never grow as people.

So I’ve learned to appreciate what the challenges and negativity birth within me.

The 2009 WSOP

Pkr Grl

There will no doubt be a lot of media interest (and scrutiny) at this year’s event because of what happened in 2008. Do you have a plan for how you’ll deal with the added pressure to repeat your epic run to 17th place, and how you’ll deal with the nay-sayers?

Tiffany Michelle

The only pressure we have is the pressure we embrace and put on ourselves. Fortunately with last year’s experience I’ve realized that I have ZERO control over how I will be edited on TV and what they’ll include or not which means that I feel zero pressure going into the 2009 WSOP.

I could act like a total angel 99% of the time but ESPN may opt to show the ONE moment or line where I got frustrated.

I can only be me. I can only play my game.

When you’re in the poker zone and playing your best game everything happening outside of the table is muted and to worry about outside factors I feel is detrimental to your game. Let the cameras roll, let the nay-sayers chatter, I’m there to play the best game I can.

Pkr Grl

The odds makers are saying that Tom Dwan and Tiffany Michelle are 9/2 to be the winningest pair at the 2009 WSOP. How do you fancy your chances this year? And how cool is it for bookies to be predicting your success?

Tiffany Michelle

Well NOW talk about pressure. It’s a whole new ballgame when someone has money riding on you! I’m optimistic about my chances this year and I feel like my tournament game is in a really good place but I also know that just by the sheer numbers at the WSOP there is a lot of variance you have to fade.

Calling Clock

Pkr Grl

Will you call for the clock on someone again?

Tiffany Michelle

The clock is a rule in poker that is there for a reason. I understand that there is a time to have etiquette and allow someone the appropriate amount of time to make a decision but there is also a time when the situation calls for a clock to be called.

I would/will have no problem calling the clock (like I did at the WSOP) if the situation calls for it.

Specifically I think calling the clock is necessary when your opponent is CONSISTENTLY taking a long time on each decision and SURELY if their delay is effecting MY tournament life.

Pkr Grl

Do you feel that if you ever do it again it will just me seen as a Tiff’ism and not taken seriously?

Tiffany Michelle

The funny thing is that prior to the WSOP in my three years of tournament play I maybe called the clock one other time. It’s not something I make a habit of doing and I don’t know why I received so much attention for doing it or why it would become a “Tiff-ism” when TONS of other players on a regular basis call the clock.

Women In Poker - Perspective

Pkr Grl

Can you give us a little insight into what it’s like being inside the head of a poker girl when you’re typically playing with 9 poker guys?

Tiffany Michelle

I don’t imagine being inside my head (as a female) is any different than being inside a guy’s head. When you sit down at the table, whether man or woman we’re all playing the same game. So as a player we’re probably considering the same elements.

Pkr Grl

The footage from the WSOP felt like the polar opposite of a bar scene (where the guys suck up and try to impress the girl). In poker there seems to be an undertone of resentment from certain guys. Is this something you feel? And why do think that is?

Tiffany Michelle

Let’s just be honest. Guys tend to be macho, competitive and have a lot of ego so they hate to lose but there’s something about losing to or being outwitted by a GIRL is that much more of a blow. I see so many guys be completely cordial towards me UNTIL they lose a pot to me, and the next thing you know they hate my guts and are cursing me out.

It’s really entertaining.

Pkr Grl

Do you think your sexuality creates an advantage at the poker table?

Tiffany Michelle

In poker I think that anything you can do to throw someone off their game, distract, mislead, cause them to be intimidated or second-guess themselves is to your advantage.

Often times I think when a woman sits down at a poker table men get a little nervous and unsure.

I don’t think that simply being a female is an advantage because, let’s be honest there isn’t this huge percentage of successful female players. However, if you can understand how men play against women and the preconceived notions they have about women players and not only exploit that but back it up with a solid game then yes, I think THAT is the advantage.

Pkr Grl

Does it feel good to beat a guy at the table considering poker was traditionally a game played by tough guys in saloons?

Tiffany Michelle

I’m not gonna lie, it’s like a natural high not only to pull off a bluff or to rake in a big pot but to outplay someone especially as a girl verses a guy is a huge rush. I’ve always loved competing against men.

There’s just something very badass about a woman who has the confidence to sit down in the boy’s world and say “Hey, let’s go buddy… I can take what you throw down!”

Pkr Grl

Do you think that increase of women in poker has been a big reason why it’s become more mainstream?

Tiffany Michelle

I don’t necessarily see women being the reason that poker has become more mainstream because there still aren’t a lot of poker shows that feature women. However when you do see a female competing in poker I think it draws a whole new audience than don’t normally follow the game.

Friends, Twitter & The President

Pkr Grl

If there was suddenly a global tweet shortage due to Ashton Kutcher’s fans using them all up, and you only has 1 Tweet left (forever), what would you say:

Tiffany Michelle

(Awesome question)

Love. Do it. Be it. Live it. Feed it. Embrace it.

Pkr Grl

I’ve said the occasional stupid thing on Twitter after a few too many. Have you ever drunk-tweeted, and woke up the next morning thinking “aah shit, what did I say…?” Tell us about it…

Tiffany Michelle

I’m proud to say there are no drunken tweets on my record to date. I’m a pretty private person so I’m careful about the info I divulge online plus I over-analyze everything which means my Tweets or FB statuses go through my brain filter several times before they get to your eyes.

Pkr Grl

If you could play heads-up with any (dead) famous person throughout history, who would you pick and why?

Tiffany Michelle

One word…. OBAMA.

And Lastly…

Pkr Grl

If you could offer one piece of advice or pearl of wisdom for young women poker who want to follow in your footsteps and play poker, but think they can’t or shouldn’t - what would you say to them?

Tiffany Michelle

Your toughest competition is sexless, it’s neither other men or women… it’s yourself. We get in our own way all the time and talk ourselves out of taking risks and being awesome. It sounds cliché but I would encourage women to: believe in yourself, be confident, face your fears, and challenge yourself.

You’ll be amazed what you can obtain.

Doubt and fear will cripple you but confidence will carry you far.

A huge thank you to Tiffany Michelle for the entertaining interview.
Good luck at the 2009 WSOP Tiffany, we’ll be rooting for you.

Hugs

Shannon Elizabeth is one of the most well known celebrities of the women in poker crew, making a name for herself initially in the movie American Pie playing the stunning foreign exchange student Nadia. Not only does she have the moves at the felt, but proved on last season’s <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dancing_with_the_Stars_(US_TV_series)"target="_blank">Dancing With The Stars that she also has what it takes on the dance floor.

Shannon Elizabeth and Derek Hough shake it up

We’re Rooting For Shannon Here

She didn’t manage to win the series however she stole the heart of her dance partner Derek Hough, but it seems she isn’t the only one who is being swept away by his charm.

Lil’ Kim has said that not being able to spend quality time with Derek hurts the most.

Lil’ Kim trying to steal Derek Hough away from Shannon!

In the current season of the show, Derek has been partnered with rapper Lil’ Kim who is being quite open about how she feels for him, saying that he is gorgeous, the chemistry is wonderful and that she and Derek would make the best of lovers! If I were Shannon I would not be so comfortable with my partner and someone who thinks of him like that to be spending hours every week passionately dancing the rumba or the tango.

Unfortunately for Lil’ Kim (but I’m sure a godsend for Elizabeth), they were voted off the show last month but Lil’ Kim has said that not being able to spend quality time with Derek hurts the most.

Lil' Kim and Derek Hough get intimate

Shannon Elizabeth predicts the Winners of Dancing With the Stars

Since her boyfriend was knocked out of the show, Shannon has been cheering for Derek’s close friend Mark Ballas who partners 2008 Olympic gold medallist, gymnast Shawn Johnson. The finale of the show was held over two nights concluding on Tuesday May 19 so for those of you who have TiVoed it and don’t want to know who wins, look away now. As for the rest of you, Shannon picked the winner with Ballas and 17 year old Johnson taking home the disco ball trophy.

Pkr Grl Likes… a few drinks with poker, but is it for everyone?

After a night out with friends and one too many glasses of red, I woke up wondering if it was possible to not only play a game of poker, but play it well while enjoying a few drinks. I decided against finding out the answer first hand and thought I would turn to the pro’s to see if any of them had succeeded.

T-shirt from poker-dude.com

Drunk Poker

Some of you may remember the broadcast last year of the final table of the WSOP $50,000 HORSE event where Scotty Nguyen was enjoying beer after beer and insulted players during play, even dropping the ‘F bomb’ and other choice words throughout the game. But somehow to my surprise and I’m sure to the shock of others, Scotty managed the win and walked away with the championship bracelet, but also had to walk away from an interview due to his intoxicated state.

What’s good for Scotty is good for Phil

Phil Hellmuth last month also took to the challenge of trying his luck at drunken poker online but didn’t have the same success as Nguyen. However he did provide his Twitter followers with a night of entertainment by posting frequent updates about how drunk he was including one which said ‘I am so drunk I cannot lose!!!! Going to play high stakes limit Hold’em at UB now!!’

Unfortunately for Phil, broadcasting his night’s drinking history on the internet provided an opportunity for some to take advantage of his state, which is exactly what they did, taking 16k from him at the table.

So it seems that you can win big money at the table, even if you have consumed a few drinks (and you can also lose money), however if poker is considered a professional sport, and those who play it are considered professionals, it is appropriate to be drunk while playing in a tournament?

– Pkr Grl

The World Series was rife with supposed controversy over a few lapses in poker etiquette. There are two situations that should be compared to illuminate the prejudices at play here.

First up is Tiffany Michelle at the WSOP in Vegas. Second is European poker player Bengt Sonnert at the WSOPE. We’ll be investigating whether Tiffany Michelle at the WSOP got treated differently to Bengt Sonnert at the WSOPE for doing the same thing.

Tiffany Michelle at the WSOP calls for a clock

Tiffany Michelle at the WSOP calling for a clock as a woman

The trouble erupted from a situation where Tiffany called for a clock on a hand that was taking way too long (about 15 minutes). Given it was an all in moment for a pot of around $10M, but at stage of the tournament, any player, especially those who are short-stacked is well within their rights to call time on someone. Tiffany was an innocent bystander up until this point and wasn’t in the hand. But as soon as she called for the clock, she received a tirade of insults and vicious commentary from some of the other 9 male poker players at the table.

Not to mention the barrage of onslaughts that occurred int he media and particularly online in forms and chat rooms, where Tiffany Michelle effectively had her ass handed to her for this “despicable” act.

When the clock was called for, the tournament had roughly 20 players left. And as we’ll see, this is remarkably similar to a situation months later across the pond in London at the WSOPE.

Before we compare the situations, lets get up to date on the poker etiquette behind calling clock, or calling for time.

How does Calling for a Clock Work?

An excellent example of this is presented in this article on the poker etiquette of calling clock. To paraphrase the important parts:

It’s clearly stated in the Texas Holdem rules that no one but another player can call a clock, not the dealer and not the floor person, and every player at the table is well within their right to do so (some players have even called the clock on themselves!)

Just as you should hope that other players will not take offense if you call a clock on them, you should not take it personally if a clock is called on you. In most cases, the other player is simply anxious to keep the game moving or to stay ahead of the blinds, and has no personal investment in making your decision more difficult.

Bengt Sonnert at the WSOPE calls for a clock

Bengt Sonnert at the WSOPE calling for a clock as a man

Months later, in a virtually identical situation (about 20 players left in the WSOPE Main Event), Bengt Sonnert was in a frustratingly long hand and decided to call for a clock on his opponent Perttu Bergius. Aside from a hard stare from Bergius (which also seemed to acknowledge with his eyes that it was a fair play to make), not a single word was said by ANYONE.

Dost Thou Smell a Double Standard?

I reckon so. I would show video footage from both of them, but only Tiff’s video is available at this point as they’re running the WSOPE on TV right now.

Poker is clearly still not an even battle of the sexes

These observations make it clear to me how big the divide between men and women of poker still is (at least on a psychological level). On a positive note, I see the stature of women poker players grow almost exponentially year over year right now, so maybe one day soon this type of berating for playing by the rules will be limited to a hard stare and nothing more.

Exclusive Interview with Tiffany Michelle

Next week, Pkr Grl will be posting an exclusive one-on-one interview with Tiffany Michelle, where we get to hear some more of her side of the story. To get Tiffany revved up for this years WSOP, we’ve made the interview a bit different from the standard questions and I think it really shows Tiff’s personality in the positive light that it should always be shining in.

Sneak Preview of our Tiffany Michelle Interview

Well said Tiff. So check back next week for the full exclusive Interview with Tiffany Michelle.

Pkr Grl Likes … jewelry. However, I’m not too sure about that big hulking WSOP bracelet.

The World Series of Poker Main Event bracelet is the most coveted prize that any aspiring poker player wants to get their hands on. No woman has ever managed to win this prestigious piece of jewelery (although Annette Obrestad has won the Main Event at the WSOPE), but is it that great a loss? Let me explain what I mean.

Blinged to the max!

Like most females, I like a nice piece of jewelery covered with diamonds and rubies, especially if I didn’t have to pay for it. However one thing I like to do with my jewelery is wear it. Now I know that the WSOP bracelet is not exactly made for everyday use, I mean we don’t hear about Venus and Serena Williams serving brunch off their Wimbledon dishes, or Roger Federer sitting at home drinking Moet out of one of his many trophy cups, but what is the point of having something worth thousands of dollars sitting in a box on your dressing table that never actually sees the light of day?

I’d wear it in bed!

I can hear some of you saying ‘if I won it, I would wear it’ but honestly that big chunky bracelet just wasn’t made for a woman to wear.

Maybe while the WSOP still has the chance, they should create a different piece of jewelery as the Main Event prize for females, just like how Wimbledon has a cup for the men and a dish for the women. A nice diamond necklace with a WSOP pendant, or a big jewel encrusted ring would do the trick for me (although my boyfriend may not appreciate the amount he would need to pay to for his engagement ring to compete with the ring!)

Maybe they should just review the giving of the bracelet altogether because I’m pretty sure that there have been reports of a few floating around at pawn shops along the strip.

Poker tournaments for women don’t come up often due to the comparatively low number of women in poker (this is the part where I urge all you ladies to get more involved in the sport so we can have more competitions), so when a major event is announced, it’s BIG news. Today PartyPoker.com made my day by revealing the dates for the third Women’s World Open which is to be held in London next week.

The $3,000 buy-in event made possible by Matchroom Sport will see 36 of the top female poker players, including defending champion Soraya Homam and 2008 final table players May Maceiras and Stefanie Bergener, compete for the $108,000 prize pool consisting of a $50,000 top prize. The event will be one of the few poker tournaments for women to be held in front of the camera, which should suit 1994 Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress nominee Jennifer Tilly. However, this could be bad news for the television tournament newbie Annette Obrestad who is interested to see if having a camera in the room modifies the style of play, but who also hopes to see some catfights first hand. I say be careful what you wish for Annette.

Hot Poker Action Starts May 24

The Women’s World Open III tournament will be held at London’s Three Mills Studios from 24 – 27 May 2009 and will feature a seven player final table made up of the 6 heat winners, and the winner of the runner-up heat. We can expect to see all the action broadcast in the UK soon after the tournament, but for those of us on the other side of the world, we will just have to wait to see the women of poker battling it out in London.

Pkr Grl Likes… Playing With Horses!

Poker started off as a simple gentleman’s game where each player was given five cards and had to try and make the highest hand possible, however like most things it evolved over time and today when we talk about stud, shoe and horse, it doesn’t necessarily mean we are talking about horse racing, or stables. But the Horse reference does appeal Pkr Grl.

On top of that, theer are an increasing number of female poker players playing the different variants. Cyndy Violette is a serious Stud pro and always jumps in the H.O.R.S.E. tournaments to get mixed up in the world of poker confusion.

So what does all pony talk actually mean?

There are three main variations of poker which are defined by how you can make your hand of 5 cards. The first is draw poker where five cards are dealt to each player and they are allowed to discard and ‘draw’ new cards to make their hand, however there are many modifications to this basic style. 5 card draw is often the first style of poker most people learn but nowadays is rarely seen played in competitions and at casinos.

Style number two is hold’em where each player is dealt personal or hole cards and uses them along with shared community cards to make their hand. Texas holde’em is the most popular hold’em game but also the most common poker style played in casinos, online and in home games around the world today. A less common variation is Omaha hold’em often just called Omaha, where each play receives 4 cards each of which they must use two along with three community cards to make a hand.

Lastly there is Stud poker usually identified by the mix of face-up and face-down cards. Seven-card Stud is the most common, where each player is dealt two face-down cards, four face-up followed by another face-down to make the highest hand.

However with Razz, the cards are deal the same but the lowest hand wins. That’s right there is a type of poker where your 2,3,5,6,8 is actually a good thing! Confused yet? Well how about adding eights or better otherwise known as high-low stud to the mix where you play both a high hand and a low hand from the same 7 cards.

So where does the horse fit in to this picture?

Well if you wanted to play all these styles of poker in the same competition; Hold’em, Omaha, Razz, Seven card Stud and Eight’s or better, you’d get your HORSE, and if you lost Razz, you’d find your SHOE.

Easy as carving an ice sculpture in the snow while squatting in a ladylike manner.

For the last few weeks I have been hearing more and more about something called Twitter. From what I could gather, it’s like sending a SMS length message called ‘tweets’ to your friends so they can know what is going on in your life, and they can reply or comment on their own accord. I was interested to find out more so I went to the official website but couldn’t exactly work out what they were on about so I decided it would be easier to join.

After filling in all the usual details, I was now a part of what is supposed to be the ‘next big thing’ however I needed to add friends to see how it worked, but since I didn’t know anyone else with an account, I just went with the suggested popular Tweeters.

Keeping up to date with the Jones’s

It sounds like a great way to keep up to date on what is happening in the world doesn’t it? After pressing buttons here and there, I ended up following some of the most well known people in the celebrity world, including Ashton Kutcher and that short guy from American Idol, Ryan Seacrest.

What I wasn’t prepared for was the garbage that I was now being bombarded with. Yes it has its good points like being able to know when some big gossip story breaks (great for bloggers), but most of the time I was finding out too much detail about what some b-list’er had for breakfast, lunch and dinner, what time they were going to bed and who they hated when they started “Drunk Tweeting” etc.

Women’s Poker Tweets

What is interesting though are the nuggets of gold that can float through the Twittersphere. Last night I made a point of consciously working my way through the Tweets of just a select few poker celebs, particularly the women of poker, and I was pleasantly surprised by what I found. It’s very clear right off the bat, what a tight community the poker pros have and how in touch they are with each other (even more so now).

There are also some really funny characters in the poker world, so now that I’ve got Twitter somewhat figured out, I’ll be broadcasting the best and worst of what the poker women are saying in an upcoming post.

In recent weeks I have heard nothing in the poker world apart from Joan Rivers, Annie Duke and their showdown on the Celebrity Apprentice 2. Unlucky for Annie she missed out on getting ‘hired’ by Donald Trump however her appearance on the show has turned her into a household name and the raised the profile (an infamy) of professional poker.

Although losing to her Celebrity Apprentice nemesis, there has been a win on Annie’s behalf with her charity Refugees International receiving flowing publicity based on her new found celebrity status.

The Poker Pros Ante Up For Africa

Ante Up For Africa is another organization which was established in 2006 by Duke along with Norman Epstein and actor Don Cheadle aims to raise funds for the humanitarian crises in Darfur, Sudan where people are being violently attacked by militants and left homeless and displaced.

In order to raise funds, a $5,000 buy in event will be held July 2nd as part of the 2009 World Series of Poker at the Rio in Las Vegas, with several of the contestants from the show throwing their support behind the cause and signing up.

Financial Success for Aid

To date, the organisation has raised over $2 million however Nevada gaming laws prohibit the entry fee’s being donated directly to charity therefore most people who finish in the money donate a proportion or sometimes all of their winnings to cause.

Primetime TV Spot Announced - August 11, 2009

This year the event has managed to snag a spot on primetime TV and will air on ESPN on Tuesday August 11. Be sure to tune in to catch celebrities including Matt Damon, Brad Garrett, Jason Alexander and Hank Azaria as well as all your favorite poker pro’s at the felt, however if you are interested in watching the action live or competing in the five hour event then make your way to Vegas on July 2nd and support this worthy cause.

When I think of a home poker night, my mind automatically draws a picture of a bunch of men sitting at a table in silence drinking beer and smoking cigars, with the table and the surrounding floor space covered in empty peanut shells and half eaten pizza.

Ok so I may be overdramatizing things a little but one thing I am pretty sure of is that women are not allowed to be around unless handing out fresh beer’s or wearing a sexy little outfit, or as I’m sure most men would wish for – a woman doing both! So since we are often not allowed to participate in the men’s game then maybe it’s time we created our own womens’ poker night.

If you don’t know any women who play poker, then invite your friends over for a ‘play money training night’ and a few drinks. Be sure to make it relaxed, play some music and don’t take it too seriously, because who knows, they may think you just want to teach them so you can one day win their money.

Personalize your home game to make it fun

If your game is around the time of a holiday, try and personalize the night for example by having themed cards or snacks. Now it is quite likely that little or no poker will be played at all because when a group of women get together it usually ends up being a night of chatting about love, life and the universe – except poker, so don’t be disappointed.

At the end of the night if the deck of cards is still sitting in the box, you will know that everyone had a good time catching up and will look forward to the next ‘poker night’ where they can leave their man and their kids at home and enjoy some time out with the girls, and maybe at some point it will actually involve poker.

However if you are a serious player but your friend’s aren’t interested, trying searching online for your local tournament and take a trip to see if there are any women who share your interest in establish a ladies night.
